No flavor-wheel exam, no personality type, no email wall. Three honest questions about how you actually drink coffee, and a result you can buy today from the roaster who made it. How it works and all 12 possible results are below the quiz.
Most coffee quizzes online are lead forms: ten questions, then an email box before you see anything. This one is three questions and the answer appears on the page. Here is exactly what it asks and why.
There is no scoring and no algorithm to speak of: the three answers pick one row from the list below. You can read the mapping yourself, skip the quiz, and just buy the bag. We would rather you do that than take a quiz you do not need.
Every result is a bag in our store, shipped by the roaster that made it. Prices are the store's as of September 26, 2026, for the smallest bag; roast levels and tasting notes are the roasters' own words. We have not cupped these side by side and do not claim to have.
Not on the list: the other five roasters on our shelf (Stone Street, Iron Bean, Frequent, Zoka, Big Bad Decaf) and every 2-lb and 5-lb size. The quiz is meant to give one confident answer, not a catalog. The catalog is here, and the reasoning behind each roaster is on the Makers page.
Free, and no signup. Your result appears on the page. There is an optional box under it to email yourself the result and our gear cheat sheet; skip it and nothing is collected.
Yes, all 12, from four roasters, at $19 to $26 for the smallest bag as of September 2026. Each ships from the roaster, not from us; we hold no inventory. The tasting notes in each result are the roaster's, quoted, not ours.
Pick "Make it decaf" on the last question and the result is one of three Swiss Water decafs from Dekáf: Whisper for espresso, Ethiopia Sidamo Bombe for bright, Hush-Hush for everything else. Dekáf says it ships within 24 hours of the roast.
Trade's quiz feeds a subscription that matches you across hundreds of roasters; ours is three questions, 12 bags, no subscription, and the mapping is printed above. If a big matching engine is what you want, Trade is the better tool, and we say so in our coffee subscriptions guide.
Take it again, or read the list and pick the neighbor. The most common miss is the flavor question: people who "like strong coffee" often mean full body, not smoky roast, and do better with a balanced medium than a dark. If you are still unsure, the brewing guide explains which brewer flatters which roast, and [email protected] reaches a person.
Only one link per result, to the buying guide that fits the bag (pour-over makers for the light roasts, espresso machines under $500 for the espresso blends, cold brew makers for Southern Gothic).
